25-26 T. A. Howard Football Info & Requirements

Dear Parents and Guardians, We’re excited to begin another season of T.A. Howard Knights Football! Below is all the important information you need to make sure your athlete is ready for the first day.

Key Dates:

• Football Equipment Pick-Up (Football Only): Thursday, August 7th | 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM Enter through the gym entrance at the back of the school. Signs will be posted.

• Mandatory Parent Meeting – All Boys Athletics: Thursday, August 14th | 6:00 PM Location: T.A. Howard Cafeteria

 

Aug. 14–15 – Athletes will work out during athletic periods. Please send: 

● Personal hygiene items (body wash, deodorant, towel, shower shoes) 

● Howard workout gear 

● School clothes to change into 

 

• First Day of Football Practice – 7th & 8th Grade: Monday, August 18th All physicals and Rank One forms must be submitted and approved before your athlete can participate in practice.

Items Parents/Guardians Must Provide: Please make sure your athlete has the following items for football:

• Football Cleats

• 5-Piece Integrated Padded Girdle

• Lock for Locker (Combination or Keyed)

• We must have the combination or a copy of the key on file. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

• Inhaler (if required for medical reasons) must be available at all practices, games, and during athletic class.

T.A. Howard will provide all other required football equipment, including helmet, shoulder pads, practice jersey, game uniform, and other protective gear.
